Kanagawa's Top 100 Bridgesかながわの橋100選

"Kanagawa's Top 100 Bridges" is an event conducted as a continuation of the "Kanagawa Top 50 and 100 Series," held during the 15th iteration of the 100 selections. In February 1990, recommendations were solicited from municipalities and the general public within Kanagawa Prefecture, and in January 1991, 100 bridges were selected. From a total of 2,867 votes covering 390 bridges, a selection committee chose the top 100 bridges. In 1992, a photo book was published by the then Kanagawa Prefectural Civil Engineering Department Road Development Division.

This is quite a specialized top 100 list, and more than 20 years after selection, some bridges have been replaced, relocated, or removed. Bridges built after the selection are not included. The selection covers a wide area including Yokohama, Kawasaki, Chigasaki, Hakone, and Odawara, featuring rivers such as the Sagami River, Tama River, Tsurumi River, and Sakawa River, as well as lakes and ponds in areas like Tanzawa and Hakone, reflecting Kanagawa Prefecture's rich natural and urban environment.

Many bridges offering beautiful scenery are included, making this list useful not only for bridge enthusiasts but also as a general tourist guide.
