Ichikawa 100 Scenic Viewsいちかわ景観100選
About this collection
The "Ichikawa 100 Scenic Views" is a selection made through a public call for entries in May of Heisei 18 (2006). It was planned by the Ichikawa City Urban Development Department, Streetscape Maintenance Division, to promote the city's valuable scenic resources. The following year, the "Ichikawa 100 Scenic Views Map" was published and widely distributed, including an English version (the map was created with the cooperation of citizens).
Ichikawa City implements a "Basic Landscape Plan" to create pleasant landscapes that resonate with many people. Citizens, businesses, and the city collaborate to systematically develop the landscape. The Ichikawa 100 Scenic Views serve as a guideline for these efforts and are a "heritage" to be preserved for the future.
Several events related to the 100 scenic views have been held within the city.
